True conservatives are for the legalization of marijuana
Tray Caliva, “a right wing, gun-toting, anti-abortion, racist, woman hatin’ ultra-conservative,” and columnist over at the Daily Toreador wants America to win the war on drugs. Step #1? Legalize marijuana!
Enforcement of laws prohibiting marijuana cost American taxpayers an estimated $4 billion in 2004. Yet, frequently conducted studies from numerous sources indicate that marijuana is nowhere near as dangerous to health or property as tobacco, alcohol or “hard” drugs.
Tobacco, alcohol, hard drugs and anti-inflammatory medication such as Aspirin directly accounted for a half-million American deaths last year. Direct deaths from marijuana totaled zero. In fact, the average marijuana user would have to consume 5,000 times the normal amount to die directly from its use.
Marijuana also is less addictive than caffeine (interesting side note: Nicotine is more addictive than heroin, cocaine and alcohol). Legalization would have to come at a cost, however.
It’s a no brainer.

i dont see why they dont legalize marijuana for the simple fact that there would probably be less crimes because every one would be to lazy to go out to rob some place they would just sit at home eat and watch tv. every one seems to be nicer than drunk people. i bet at least on person in a family has tried it wich is alot of people. if they ended up selling it in stores we just might get out of national debt quicker. one thig that gets me is that someone asked me a question and it was “man made beer god made pot who do you trust?” well i think that the goverment trust pot because look on money what does it say in god we trust and the color of money is green just like pot. i think i trust god a hell of alot more than man. less car accidents because who ever is under the influence i found out they drive alot better because they dont want to get pulled over so they do the speed limit. and it dont really impair your vision just like alchol does it just makes every thing funny. i could just keep on going why they should legalize marijuana.

I’m all for it. the only reason the gov’t objects to the legalization is because we can grow our own bud and they wont be able to collect taxes on it like liquor and tobacco.
